Can I Sell My House Privately?
Yes you can! Here are some of the reasons why you should advertise your property on SellFair.

Can I instruct an estate agent at the same time as advertising privately on SellFair?
Yes you can! We are not an agent, so you are not breaking your sole or multiple agency agreement by advertising with us. By advertising your property for sale on SellFair, all you are doing is placing a private advert, which you are free to do.
I'm already using an estate agent. If I sell my home privately through you, won't I have to pay the agent commission anyway?
No. SellFair is not an estate agent and, as our terms and conditions make clear, we do not legally act as your agent; potential buyers deal directly with you and are not introduced by us. SellFair is simply a medium for you to advertise your property privately. You are not therefore in breach of any sole or multiple agency agreement by placing a private property advert on SellFair.
Do I need a HIP to advertise on SellFair?
Yes. The law requires you to have obtained a Home Information Pack prior to marketing your property for sale.
How do I list my property on SellFair?
It's easy. Sign up as a member, if you haven't already joined. Then log-in and click on “advertise a property” in the menu bar. Enter the details of your property, add any photos or floorplans (or order them through us). Make payment securely online by credit or debit card and your classified property advertisement will be listed online immediately. Advertise your property now.
What are your partner sites?
In addition to being listed on this site, all properties (except room ads) will also be advertised on partner sites, including Fish4Homes.co.uk, Nestoria, Zoomf.com, Yakaz and Globrix. Fish4 has been established by four of the UK's biggest regional newspaper groups. It regularly runs adverts in the local press across the country and the site attracts more than 200,000 unique visitors each month. Zoomf.com and Nestoria are popular specialist property search engines used by estate agents which rank high on Search Engine listings. Nestoria had over 400,000 unique visitors in September 2008. Globrix is backed by News International and is currently the UK's fastest growing property-site.
Which Properties can be advertised?
All properties located in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland can be advertised on SellFair. There is no restriction on the type of property (house, flat, maisonette or even a garage, parking space or building plot)
How much does it cost?
It's currently free to advertise your property on SellFair and our partner sites for a full 6 weeks. You will only be charged for any photos, floorplans or other media, should you choose to order these from us.

How long will my property advert last?
Adverts will usually run for 6 weeks unless removed earlier by you. At our discretion, we may sometimes continue showing adverts beyond this period.
To remove your ad from our listings, simply log in to the site and click "delete propertyt" next to the advert in your My Properties page.
I don't want my phone number displayed on my ad.
That's fine. You can opt for buyers to contact you only by messaging through SellFair, keeping your email address and phone number private. Simply change your preferences in your Member Profile page.
I can't upload my own pictures.
Please email them to us and we'll upload them for you. There's no charge for this but please provide your property address in your email.
I've sold my property. How do I remove it from your listings?
Log in and click "delete property" next to the property advert in your My Properties page. The property will be removed from our database and will be taken off our partner sites shortly thereafter.
How do I renew my property ad?
Simply login and go to your “My Properties” page. Click on the “relist” option alongside the property you wish to re-advertise. Update your property details as necessary, order any additional media you require, make payment, and the property will be reposted on our listings pages immediately and on partner sites within 24-48 hours.
What is your privacy policy?
SellFair takes your confidentiality and security seriously. We are registered under the Data Protection Act and we will never sell your personal data to third parties without your express consent (except as part of a sale of the whole business). We recommend that you read our Privacy Policy and full Terms and Conditions for full details of how your data is handled.
I'm having problems listing my property on your site.
Please email us so that we can assist. If the problem is our fault or due to an error on the site, we will list your property free of charge. But we may not know there is a problem unless you tell us, so please do let us know.
I can't find my property on your partner sites.
Properties will usually appear on all our partner sites within 24 hours of adding them to SellFair. Sometimes properties may take a little longer to appear, depending on the frequency of updates on our partner sites. This is something over which we have no control. If you can't find your property on our partner sites after about 48 hours, please email us so that we can investigate.
I'm worried about paying online.
RentFair uses Nochex Online Payment Services to process your payment. Nochex is one of the UK's leading online payment company, providing secure online credit and debit card payment services to many thousands of businesses throughout the UK. Further details of the encryption and security systems used by Nochex are available on their website here. Please note that your payment will be shown as "Nochex" on your account statements.
